Unique cultural-historical elements and remarkable architecture also characterize the area. For example, amidst nature, you will find the Sint Hubertus Hunting Lodge designed by Berlage. The visual art in and around the Kröller-Müller Museum is world-famous. Both nature and art enthusiasts can indulge themselves in the park!

A Special Legacy

The Hoge Veluwe National Park is the legacy of one of the most prominent couples in Dutch history: Anton and Helene Kröller-Müller. He was an enthusiastic hunter,  she a passionate art collector. Starting in 1909, they gradually purchased plots, creating the Hoge Veluwe National Park. They realized their dream: to bring nature and art together. Now, more than 100 years later, we still enjoy their legacy. From the diverse landscape, the vast cultural collection of the Kröller-Müller Museum, and the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus.

On the White Bicycle

Who doesn't know them? The White Bicycles of The National Park De Hoge Veluwe! Visitors can use them for free to explore the landscape at their own pace. Along the more than 40 kilometers of biking paths, you'll pass deciduous, coniferous, and mixed forests. One moment you're cycling over wet and dry heaths, and the next through drifting sand landscapes. Bike routes are available at the information desk in the Museonder. Or let yourself be guided by the ANWB mushrooms in the park.

Visit the Museonder

Would you like to take a look underground? Literally and figuratively? You can at the Museonder, the first underground museum in the world located in the middle of Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe.

The Museonder provides a surprising view of everything that lives beneath the earth's surface, both now and in the past. You will see, among other things, a complete root system of a 135-year-old tree, stones that tell their story of origin, and a water laboratory. But also bones of animals that lived in this area thousands of years ago. Your park entrance ticket gives you free access to the Museonder.
