On Thursday, April 17, the National Parks Office organized the learning network Spread and Entice. Around 40 attendees discussed various themes surrounding sustainable tourism and mobility in national parks. There was particular attention to research and how it can be applied in, among other things, policy development.
One of the topics was the collaboration between National Park Veluwezoom, Border Park Kalmthoutse Heide, National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and Van Gogh National Park in the European Interreg project Mona. Based on research, the parks within this project are developing solutions for sustainable and nature-oriented mobility and recreation. Other discussion topics included the Veluwezoom Rheden-Rozendaal master plan, visitor management and monitoring, working with nature and recreation profiles, the development of transport hubs in National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and a new perspective on recreational gates in National Parks.
The National Parks Office (NBP) regularly organizes (free) learning networks on themes relevant to national parks. The target audience of the learning networks consists of those interested who are (professionally) involved with national parks. Are you interested? Send an email to info@nationaleparken.nl.
