How can national parks better utilize research for nature, society, and area development? During an inspiration meeting of the National Parks Office on Thursday, October 1 in Amersfoort, researchers, park staff, and cooperation partners will share their knowledge, experiences, and successful practical examples.

The program includes presentations on biodiversity research with volunteers in Limburg, the relationship between humans and nature, nature and agriculture, and the societal impact of area-focused collaboration. Inspiring research approaches from various national parks will also be discussed, such as Dark Sky in Lauwersmeer National Park, the research agenda of Nieuw Land National Park, and the Research and Education Hub Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

Additionally, attention will be given to the project "Experience the Spoonbill," a collaboration between six national parks and the University of Groningen. With the help of an innovative application, tagged spoonbills can be followed live, providing better insights into their use of national parks.

The meeting offers ample opportunity to exchange knowledge, inspire each other, and make new connections around the theme of research in national parks.
