In recent years, IVN and the National Parks Bureau (NPB) have been working more closely together. This is reflected, among other things, in the invitation to attend the second day of the inspiring annual IVN 2-day event (June 17 and 18). A great moment to catch up and to look ahead for the coming period. This year at a beautiful location in the Veluwe in Hoog-Soeren/Assel. The goal is mainly to exchange knowledge and information, but also to see how IVN and NPB can better connect and organize communication and education and determine together where the priorities lie in the coming period.

Collaboration

The major topic of conversation was the budget cuts that were looming over the national parks and IVN. Now that we know since July 3 that these cuts will not proceed, we will work on further implementing the new corporate identity, firmly establishing National Park Day 2026, the national Boots Day in October, the collaboration on the topic Experience the Bird Migration, and developing a new overarching communication strategy. In the afternoon, a workshop on Behavior Change was on the agenda. The knowledge and insights from the workshop can be well utilized by IVN and NBP for communication to the public, to encourage desired behavior.
