She loves to go swimming at 't Wed or the Oosterplas when the weather is nice. But even in cold weather, you can find her there playing with the ice along the water's edge. Marit is a real water enthusiast and has 4 certificates. Still, swimming in the National Park is different from a pool. 'You can do much more there, and there's no lifeguard..!' she says cheerfully. The Oosterplas is also one of her favorite places with high dunes to roll down from. The water there is pleasantly fresh and not as salty as in the sea.

Marit lives in the immediate region (Heemstede) with her parents and older sister who is 12. She is in Group 5 of primary school. Together with her family, relatives, friends, and girlfriends, she regularly visits the National Park to walk, go on excursions, or swim. This often takes place around the visitor center and dune lake 't Wed.
