Together, we pay homage to the landscape

The app Masterpiece Dutch Landscape takes you on a journey to the past, present, and future. Join the exploration and experience how the natural and culturally rich Dutch landscape is once again given space. Not by freezing everything, but through a carefully balanced development strategy and careful management. After all, new challenges require new solutions and thereby adjustments in our landscape.

More than just beauty

The seventeenth-century artists made the Dutch landscape world-famous with their paintings. The beauty they saw in the landscape is immortalized. But there is more, more than just beauty. Our landscape is dynamic, constantly changed over the centuries by the influence of water and humans. Increasingly, the landscape and nature are under pressure. The question of whether we need to redesign our country, our landscape, to cope with climate changes is urgent. What can we learn from the past, our interaction with the landscape over time?
