The National Parks Bureau (NBP) has been established on behalf of the Ministry of LVVN. The main task is to support parks and partners on a national level in implementing the National Parks Policy Program 2024-2030. The NBP employees consult with parties such as the government, provinces, and national representatives of partners. Additionally, the NBP serves as a discussion partner for parks that want to work on the goals from the National Parks Policy Program 2024-2030.
National Parks Policy Program 2024-2030
The policy program outlines how park organizations, provinces, the government, and partners intend to shape the development of national parks into robust, high-quality nature and landscape areas in the coming years. The policy program sets out the joint ambitions and goals for the future of national parks in the Netherlands and provides direction for all national parks. The proposed approach maintains the quality of the (international) National Park label and combines it with opportunities to make the national park valuable in addressing urgent challenges in rural areas.
